Make sure to catch an all new episode of Wunder Travel on the Weather Underground Broadcast Network at 5:30 p.m. ET, 2:30 p.m. PT Thursday.
This week you will hear all about the Travel and Adventure show that hit the Bay Area last weekend. Here are some pictures during the event:
The first picture is from Rick Steve's talk. Wow, was it crowded. He sure is a popular guy for the travelers out there. His talk was titled, "Europe through the back door". He tries to get more people out of the major cites and into the small villages and country side. Also, he is big on traveling light. Man, he only takes a carry-on backpack for 4 month trips to Europe. He obviously isn't a woman. Whew! Additionally, he thinks argues to not plan your trip around shopping. Most people waste 80% of their trips at the markets and shops on the way to museums and the sights. Again, not many women would be okay with this....ha!
These next pictures are from the adventure side of the exhibit hall. This was a fun thing for kids to do. They would zip into a big plastic ball or balloon, then they would blow it up with a leaf blower and put them in the water where they could run around and float on the water. They would come out completely dry. Amazing! But nope, I didn't try it...
This last picture is of the zip-lines, also on the adventure side of the exhibit hall. Pretty cool!
On Thursday's show, we will also forecast for Kari's trip to Europe! She leaves on Sunday and is getting excited. Of course we will also get into this week's bests and worsts, as well as any travel news.
