I followed this Owl along the highway from tree to tree, trying to get some good shots of it even though it was far away---had my camera zoomed out to it's full max of 15X just to get it at all so these pics aren't the clearest. It was intent on hunting and I was distracting it, so it kept flying away a short distance. What a thrill to see this beautiful bird! This one nests somewhere in the area every year, but this is the first time I've been able to get photos.

I can't say that I blame you, Eileen! I haven't seen one in a long time so this was a real treat, especially when it stayed beside the road instead of flying away through the woods! Wish you could have been here with your camera too!
