I had been waiting for days for the light to be just right on this field of tall grasses, but the weather wouldn't cooperate. This evening just before sunset, the sun finally broke through the clouds long enough to illuminate them; I had about two minutes in which to get a few shots before the sun went back into the clouds and then behind the trees. My dogs, wondering why I was running, followed along barking, no doubt thinking I had spotted an intruder they couldn't see.
