An early fall windstorm hit southern Lake Michigan today. Wind gusts as high as 50 mph with more expected tomorrow. Went up to St. Joe Michigan and shot those lighthouses and will try our lighthouse tomorrow if I get the chance. Enjoy the sunset

I am a Paramedic Supervisor with the LaPorte County Emergency Medical Service in the northwest corner of Indiana. When I am not at work, I am a Captain with the Coolspring Township Volunteer Fire Department. I am a 16 year member of this department and just stepped down after a 9 year run as its Assistant Chief to spend time with my newly adopted little girl. In my spare time, I am also a photographer for the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. I never realized when I bought by first Mavica camera several years ago how addictive this little hobby can be but I love it so much. This website is awesome as I frequent here a lot to get some great ideas of pictures to look for. Keep 'em coming! Michigan City is located right in the middle of Harbor Country (Lake Michigan) and the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. It is known for its singing sands and rolling sand dunes as well as it's riverboat casino and outlet mall. It is beautiful in the summer and cold and snowy in the winter. Write it down!
