Congratulations on your first AC.
Extreme fire behavior ended after midnight. The fire laid low overnight as winds continue from the SW as forecast. So far, so good for us and our neighbors in Swains Creek.

Thanks. Lucked out on the AC, with bows to the photographers who actually know what they are doing. The bad news is that I should be able to get some even closer shots tonight.

For those that care, the fire is mostly out, and is about 50 percent contained. That means that there are some hot spots, but there is good line around most of the fire.
