Wow! I guess you could go swimming in your own little lake.... All kidding aside, sure hope the damage isn't major (although this looks pretty bad) and that you are soon able to recuperate.

Mama mia! Please be careful of floating pods of red ants and snakes. Don't ask me how I know.

Hello, I'm from WPB also and got a little flooding in my home and street but nothing like this. Hope the hot hot FL sun helps it go down fast!

Agreed, it appears the gentleman is standing in a depression comparing his head in relation to the fence line, the shadow it casts, and the grass behind the fence. A dramatic photo entry.

Actually the fence behind him is a rising berm built higher with the fence along the top to separate the yard and protect it from the canal behind it. 3 feet of water including the road making it impassable. The reason given by South Florida Water management is that there is a levee a short distance from here in the Corbett Wildlife area that is used as a retention pond and it overflowed with 15 - 20 inches of rain received from the feeder bands of Isaac and flooded the western Palm Beach County area including this location in the Acreage worse than surrounding areas. This levee is at risk of breaking and the governor visited yesterday. There are efforts to try to shore it up. If it breached we would potentially have 4 to 5 more feet of water.

Excellent picture choice!!!! Without noted assumptions, I know this diptychs what several natives experienced this past week in WPB. Give or take some water this is a HUGE amount of water to be in your yard. Hopefully, the levee is replaced/repaired before anymore storms blow ashore.
