One of the very few things I like about the onset of hot weather here in Georgia is that it usually coincides with "tomato-pickin' time." Here's a look at a few from my first crop of the season. Can't wait to start slicing.

NO FAIR
I just planted my tomatoes yesterday - about 2 weeks late - hoping for at least one BLT before the frost!
Sure a good looking one!

Thanks for commenting. I planted these in mid-April. No frost then, and none anticipated before mid-November here in east central Georgia. First crop always seems to be the best, though--before the suffocating heat/drought inevitably withers them.

Just digging around. This pic makes it hard to wait for the tomatoes I started in small pots on February 14th. I just set them out a couple days ago. Hope I didn't jump the gun. We can have a late frost up until Good Friday.
