Date 1JUN2012. A vortex formed over the James River, moved ashore near Newport News, went through a pirate festival, damaging a popular shopping center, then hit a yacht club, then spun out into Chesapeake Bay. I did not take this picture; a friend did.

Wow! Hope there wasn't too much damage. We're getting a pretty good storm here at the Jersey shore right now, too ~ thunder, lightning and a lot of rain.
