Had some excitement in the neighborhood last Saturday. My neighbor to the south barn caught fire, I heard a muffled explosion, and saw smoke. I had my camera out as I was taking pictures of the grosbeaks. This picture was taken no more than 5 minutes after hearing the explosion. I was nervous about the fire getting into the trees, but we have had a rather wet spring. Fortunately no one was hurt, though the property inside appears to be a complete loss.
