I sat down on the cliffs above the beach to take some wildflower shots. When I looked to my left, there was this raven, just sitting there looking at me... it didn't fly away until a woman down on the beach came up, too fast, wearing bright colors and sporting a white digital camera, started shooting photos of us (we were about four feet apart on the cliff, with only grasses and flowers separating us).

Genesis 8:6-8
6 After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark 7 and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.
=================================
I Kings 17:
2 Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”
5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

and God's challenging question to Job:
Job 38:41
Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?
======================
And the Psalmist, when he wrote, about God:
Psalm 147:9
He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call.
========================
I have a raven here that was brought to me in 2003, after having been kicked by a horse (she was young at the time). The injury was such that she will never fly again, but she has become quite the comic - teases the cats, 'talks' to me, sings to the ravens outside and generally seems to be a very happy bird... she loves kibbled dogfood soaked in water, fresh strips of lean beef, chicken, and occasionally, mice that I get for her from the feed store :)
