This HUGE fire has already burned over 500 homes and over 30,000 acres. It is 0, yes 0 percent contained and stretches 16 miles long and 6 miles wide. The smoke plume can be seen on dopler radar. This fire is actually to the north east of Bastrop which is east of Austin.

Hi or Howdy! My name is Debbie. I've been a member of Wunderground for several years now. As my handle suggests, I'm a novice weather nut. I get it from my mom. :) Anyhow, I've always loved the very complete weather data found here ... from radar, to data, to blogs, etc. This is the best weather web site out there.I have a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro 2 personal weather station which sends data to WU every few seconds.
