At 5:15 am...National Weather Service Doppler radars detected areas of light freezing rain along with some patchy sleet across parts of northwest Arkansas. Patchy freezing drizzle was observed across portions of eastern Oklahoma as well. Through 7:00 am...areas of light freezing rain and some sleet will continue to slowly move out of northwest Arkansas and gradually transition to light freezing drizzle. Patchy freezing drizzle is expected to continue farther west over parts of northeast Oklahoma as well. Additional icing will be light...and travel will continue to be impacted through the morning hours. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all northwest Arkansas and all of eastern Oklahoma (which the exception of Choctaw county) until 11 am.

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 11 am CST this
morning...

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has adjusted the timing of
the Winter Weather Advisory and it is now in effect until 11 am CST
this morning...

For the following counties...
* in Oklahoma... Cherokee... Adair... creek... Okfuskee... Okmulgee...
   Wagoner... Rogers... Mayes... Pawnee... Ottawa... Pushmataha...
   Washington... Osage... Craig... Nowata... Pittsburg... Sequoyah...
   McIntosh... Muskogee... Le Flore... Latimer and Haskell. In
   Arkansas... Washington... Madison... Crawford... Sebastian and
   Franklin.

Hazardous weather...
* areas of freezing rain and freezing drizzle will continue
   across portions of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas for
   most of the morning hours. While areas of freezing rain will
   diminish in areal coverage as the morning progresses... these
   areas will experience freezing drizzle off and on this morning.

* Additional ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch will be
   possible with ongoing areas of freezing rain. Trace amounts
   will accompany freezing drizzle as it becomes more predominant
   this morning.

* roads in the advisory are slick and hazardous.

* use extra caution if driving. Attempt to stay on treated
   roadways. Expect travel delays.
