I have been a "weather geek" all of my life and living in the tropics since '79 has just made it more interesting. Great site for info and friends.

but only 8 more days to go!
Jeff, we got a nasty storm yesterday afternoon. For some reason rain is drawn to my area!
Bug, Oh yes, we "coastal" folks must keep an eye on our hurricane supplies and check our generators from time to time!
I understand about "wishing" these storms away from us and how that is now so hard because we actually know folks in the areas!
However, the Tampa/St Pete crowd is almost deserving of a storm. Been 90 years since they were hit and They have been wishcasting a storm to Tampa since I have been here on the WU blogs in 2005.
That crowd from Tampa area (here in Dr Master's blog and on Facebook) are just nearly peeing in their pants at the prospects of an Isaac hit on them!
I doubt Isaac will hit Tampa, it could end up in the GOM which is NOT good, or it could still wobble around a lot more in the next 4 days. We will watch.
Finn, that is right!!! I will be up your way as soon as I can to catch up with you over lunch at Dave's!
Sandi, Hi busy lady!! Thanks for the flyby!
I will need to set up a new blog thread soon before Isaac gets too much closer.
You all have a great day.
Nothing like this watching and waiting, waiting and watching....
I'm counting down the days until end of the season!
Do you think we'll make it this year, without getting hit?
Today is sbKaren's birthday. I take it her blog here is closed but you can leave a message in Sandi's blog or send her mail.. and those on FB can leave her message there.
Bug, I see you stopped by yesterday, yes the "waiting and watching" is the stressful part. Once you know you are going to get hit; then you go into action mode and start putting your action plan together.
But looks like Isaac is going to head into GOM and leave the Eastern side of SE Fla and probably your area a lone.
We may make it thru this year without a hit; we have been clean since Wilma down here. I mean we have had a few of those tropical storms that amounted to nothing..but not any real threat. I don't think we have even had any school or work days missed since Wilma due to storms.
I am a little busy this morning so I will try to get back as soon as I can. You all enjoy your Friday.
On the current 5 day forecast the center of Isaac is sitting right over Pensacola on Wednesday. Funny enough it was Ivan in 2004 that really messed up Pensacola. Something about "I's"....................
