July 11, 2012: 6:44AM, BABY Teagan Oliver arrived
7 lbs 4 oz, 18" long. All is good.
Today, Sat 7/14 he went for a weigh in..and he was 20" long.. they think the hospital did not "stretch" him out when they measured him at 18" after he was born. We did not think he looked that short!
Well actually Wellesley Hill, MA just to the WSW of Boston.
My flight leaves in the morning and I should be here in early afternoon if all goes well at the airport. I will be sure and examine my handbag carefully to make sure nothing is there that will attract attention.
Grandson, Teagan Oliver will be born shortly for sure before the July 14th C Section date. Betsey's doc is OK for her to have regular delivery with this baby if he comes early and she is 37 weeks today so they will let the baby come. He is in position and ready so probably some day next week.
I am needed to help with Baron while Mommy is in hospital and recovery after Teagan arrives and she is afraid I will not get there soon enough!
So hope to have some pictures soon. Since I am leaving tomrorow I will miss Rylee's Birthday on July 3rd, but maybe she will have a little cousin born on her birthday this year!
Have a wonderful Independence Day everyone!!!

Here are my weather Maps. This one had to be removed from my above the blog spot; it was causing my computer problems.

-------------------------------------
I found out, these maps are measuring fire hazard and soil moisture, not necessary drought according to rainfall.

I don't mind long vacations where most is spend in hotel or just a few days at places here and there..but to stay longer than a week at someone's home is very hard on me.
Guess I am weird that way...But sometimes we have to do what we need to do... But I am so excited to go back home next Monday!
I know They both are glad I am here to help with Baron and his schedule so she and baby does not have to get out of the house so much for his school and theraphies.
you all enjoy your week!
Ah,that early struggle with newborns to get them on your schedule.Lets hope He changes soon,so everyone can get some rest.
You Floridians come up here and can't stay healthy.
Actually as you said its a much drier heat up here.
It could be just your sinuses are drying out too much.
Keep some saline solution handy to constantly spray in your nose. I use it alot in the winter when its so dry.

Fort Lauderdale, Broward County.
Heavy rain e0.00 inch, reported by law enforcement.
NEw, I have been accused of being the one that brought these 90 degree temps to your area!!!
Bug, I know... They will probably not make it back down to Florida until Christmas...
Hi everyone, just a check in to say all is well.
Hubby comes up tomorrow.
... Record daily maximum rainfall set at Fort Lauderdale...
a record rainfall of 3.2 inch(es) was set at Fort Lauderdale yesterday.
This breaks the old record of 2.28 set in 1922.
Broward sherriffs office reported a good portion of
downtown Fort Lauderdale flooded... east Broward Blvd
along north federal Highway between Broward Blvd and
sunrise Blvd
I guess that's for our friends out east who complain it never rains there..
At least it'll be better when hubby arrives!
Happy Stacey Wednesday!
Ylee, YES I am missing my bed, my new kitchen and my own home. Been a long time for me to be away! Hubby arrives this afternoon.
Jeff, that is crazy. I have got to come back and look at the moisture map after 4pm this afternoon to see if you all turned blue! thanks for the updates.
KWgirl, thank you so much!!!!
Ogal! I almost missed you!
This morning while I got up and got dressed and made Baron's lunch and breakfast,
Betsey is going to take him to school this morning and I will stay home with Teagan.
She needs to get out of the house for a little bit and has some errands to run I cannot do for her.
Baby Teagan so far is pretty good; he just gets really made as a hornet when he gets hungry so if that happens while she is gone I will call her and she can be home in 5-10 mins. Wellesley is not a very large town.
Then this afternoon, we will take both of the boys to airport to pick up hubby. Baron is very excited his Poppy is coming to see him..
So far Baron is not that impressed with his baby brother. He has started just giving him a passing glance and then ignoring him because let's face it. newborn babies are not very entertaining!
We think he was probably expecting a little playmate!
But once Teagan gets older he should be more fun for Baron!
Hope you all are doing well. I wish I could get out on the blogs a little more but I am not good with this laptop and it seems we do not have much "computer" time right now.
But I will be home next Monday afternoon!
Enjoy your day and thank you all for stopping by.
Enjoy the rest of your time, it will soon be back to "normal" :(
Had to laugh at your comment about Teagan getting so made when he gets hungry, typical,we guys still get nasty when we are hungry.
Sandi, Yes Poppy finally made it in but his plane was divereted to Providence, RI because of severe weather in the NE Wed afternoon/evening. Then they never got out of that airport and offered a bus to take the people back to Boston.
Lucky, our "x" brother in law that we always got along well with was also on the plane. He was flying to Boston for business which was just a few miles from where we are.. so he rented a car and they drove here (not going into Boston). It was good to see him again and he has not seen Betsey in about 15 years.
It all worked out well.
NEw, wow, what a change in temps this morning. Yes I do believe I will be wearing a light over shirt today!
If I brought all this extremely hot weather when I arrived 19 days ago, at least Poppy brought back the more normal temps.
A high of only 77 today. Poppy and I think that is really cool...then low f 56 tonight???? BRRRRR! LOL
Good morning everyone... going to be very busy for the next 3 days. Scott's parents are coming in today and his grandparents and sister tomorrow for the Briss on Sunday.
So doubt I will be able to get on this lap top here in the family room.
We are leaving around noon on Monday so should be home later afternoon.
Enjoy your weekend!
Stacey and Scott are out for their morning run. Temps here around 59 degrees! LOL but it may get up to 80 this afternoon. They are now back to more "normal" temps. No more 90's until next week.
Ylee, thanks, starting today things are going to be very busy this weekend.
Shore, it is very busy here. I am so far behind on your WP stories but I kept all my email notifications so I can find the time and read them all when I can. I don't want to miss any of them.
Scott's parents got in yesterday around noon. Today Scott's sister and his grandparents come in.
We expect around 20 for tomorrow's Briss (it is also spelled another way but this is the way it sounds!)
Funny, Scott's sister and grandparents are leaving Monday morning on the same flight to Ft Lauderdale we are on. But with 5 adults and 5 large luggage, we will still have to take 2 vehicles to the airport! Scott's Dad will go back home Wed and Helen will stay here with Betsey and the kids until Aug 7th..then return again in Sept to help out when School starts back up .
Scott has to leave for business Monday when the rest of us leave but it is a trip he has to take. He has done his best not to travel for the past month!
Anyway, all is well here but I am so ready for my hown home and my own bed and my own gardens/pool and my own kitchen! I think I am home sick!
You all enjoy your weekend!
I also miss reading all your blogs so I can know what is going on in your world but I am not good on this lap top. When I try to move around much my screen disappears!
I think it's spelled 'bris' but am not sure.
Poor Baron. He is probably a little disappointed that Teagan isn't the instant playmate he probably thought he was going to get.
"Is that what all the fuss is about? That little thing? He doesn't do much." LOL
Yeah, give it time. In another couple of years or so, it'll be a different story.
I had the one brother but he was a really pain in the @$$ until he was grown up. He drove me nuts. And if I retaliated, I'd get the lecture about being older and not hitting him. But he'd push me and push me until I hit the breaking point. He knew exactly what he was doing, too. He'd be behind Mama, smirking, while she chewed me out
Once he was grown, it was a whole different story. Miss that little $hit, too. Damn it.
One thing I wish I'd had was the sister experience. I've heard so many of my friends talk about how close they are with their sisters. I'm sure it's the same way with the guys and their brothers. There's just a bond, even if you fought like cats and dogs while you were kids.
I had a good bond with my brother but it wasn't the same as sisters with sisters and brothers with brothers.
Hope the bris goes well and your trip home. I know you'll be glad to get back, even though you miss Betsey, Scott, Baron and Teagan.
I've been meaning to ask.... How did Betsey and Scott come up with 'Teagan'? I've never heard of that name before. Is it a family name?
Bet you can't wait to get home!
Bug you may be right, it is officially a Brit Milah and called a "Bris" or at least the way it sounds!
Yes I am so homesick and cannot wait to get home tomorrow afternoon. I have now been here for 22 days; arrived July 1st! The only time I've been away that long was when my Mother was dying in hospice January 2004.
And a few things were completed in the kitchen while I was gone so cannot wait to see them. Hopefully the plantation shutters will be in next week and they can install them soon. Then I still need to recover the dining room chair cushions.
I had a brother and sister but my sister and I were 4 1/2 yrs apart so we were not really that close...like you said she was more of a pain in the ..... when she was growing up!
Karen, Yes I have been trying to post on FB and here when I can. Somedays I just could not get here or there!
Betsey is very lucky to have so much help the first 5 weeks then Helene will return in Sept when school starts back up for a week or two.
Got a busy day in store; all the players are now here an we set up things last night. They picked out his Jewish name and food will arrive this morning.
Ceremony will start around 11am.
In the Jewish relegion you can only name a baby after someone who is deceased..and you use their name initial.
Scott's aunt Tina passed last year (His mother's sister)
so they new they needed a "T" name with this baby.
And they went thru baby boy names until they came up with this one and settled on it.
Baron was named after my Mother Betty (aka Beebee) and I thnk one of Scott's Grandmothers. or maybe Great Aunt.
OK, got to go, things are starting to crank up here.
Will be so happy when I can read your blogs and find out what is going on...
if I have missed something important please let me know!
enjoy your Sunday.

Safe trip and I bet you will be glad to get back home :)
Hubby & I are getting ready; we will leave in little over an hour from now.
23 days away from my home to stay in someone else's home is hard but it was necessary.
Other Grandmother will take my handoff and stay another 2 weeks then return in Sept.
Found out Scott's sister and his grandparents are on our flight this morning. Scott's Dad is going home Wed.
Jeff, thanks for that update. I was wondering what was going on there.
Pros, thank you!!!
Luv, gthank you!!! and lad you are getting home for a little while... I also like the sound of those airplane wheels lowering before landing! LOL!
Sandi, YES, I am so ready to get home again. My house will look all new to me since I just got some of the things finished before I left and I have yet to see the kitchen chandalier!
Also I have a new computer (just the tower the monitor was ok).. at home. Sure hope our son got it hooked up for us!
You all have a great day!
Safe trip home to you two!!
Thanks!
We are home, it was so strange to come into my home since I am still not use to the "new" look of everything before I left for 23 days.
I had to try and remember the Cable TV station numbers!
Also I just dumped 5" of rain from both gauges from the past 23 days and more rain coming.
It appears we got a nasty storm here yesterday that flooded the neighborhood.
Very tired...going to bed early...will feel so good to be back in my own bed again!
Also Got to see Nolan (he went to airport with his Mama to pick us up)... and Just now Rylee...
Rylee missed her Gamma as much as her Gamma missed Rylee!
Rylee & Gamma are soul mates!
I think I lost everything when my old computer crashed while I was gone. Best Buy said they could not save anything it was all contaminated.
Thank goodness I have a lot of pictures since 2005 here on my blogs and for past 2 1/2 y rs on Facebook.
And the last time I crashed I bought one of those extra back up things... I plugged it in a few months ago to do a "back up"... now hope it works..
I have no idea how to do it. Greg said he would come over and help me If I could not figure it out.
Our computer "crashed" we think when it was "uploading" or Updating...and the power went off
not sure.. it was not a virus this time...
I hope to set up new blog thread soon.
Thanks for stopping by with your comments while I was gone.
No posts tells me you may still be off-line; I hope not!
Take care!
Time for double espresso!
Take it easy :-)
