I don't believe it
It's been so hot lately! Oh, you've noticed? I thought you might have. If you live anywhere in the United States, you've been in the fisted grip of a heat wave. 97° in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., is nearly unheard of. It didn't look much better today.
But suddenly, it's 72°. The temp not only dropped, we also got some much-needed rain. Probably not nearly enough, but it was heaven to hear the sound of rain on the roof for the first time in far too long. I hope the farmers and orchard growers are doing a happy dance.
Hopefully, this drop in temps and the rain came in time to give crops somewhat of a reprieve. It didn't come in time to save some of the flowers in pots on my deck. Despite the fact that I watered--more than once a day--they look like dried up wisps.
