Hello Gams, So nice to see you. So nice to be able to visit Wunderground again. I want to wander about but now that I put up a new blog with an enticing title and question, I suppose I need to figure out what to put up there in the header. Oh... it doesn't matter, I'm gonna go visit your blog and see what you and other WUBAs have been up to.

Hello Hurigo, how wonderful to see you on the blogs, especially mine. Here is a Dogwood photo for you.
Yes, I have been following the news about 'the miracle'. It is amazing that no one died, not the pilots and not anyone in the buildings that were hit. Something to be grateful about!
I like the comment BF made about the egg coloring and the deviled eggs! That's funny.

Hello BF and Prose It has been a crying day, not sobbing but every once in awhile eyes getting wet. It is just amazing that this story is what it is. I felt compelled to do so this morning, so I drove up to the area. Did not go down Birdneck--well I did a block or so--and then made a u-turn in front of the weather channel truck.
I am so very thankful and just awe struck.

I wanted to go out to eat but Hubby demurred. It will be crowded and he also didn't want to get dressed to go out. Can't blame him, really. It's his one day off.
Gus is snoozing after a busy hour birdwatching in the backyard.
Hubby is snoozing in his recliner, while watching 'The Song of Bernadette' though his eyelids. LOL
I don't dare change the station. He'll raise up, hollering, "I'm watching that!"

Happy Day, huri - and yes, it was a miracle, indeed. It's so good to see you out and about - I hope your day is going to be a lovely one. Is being a lovely one. It's getting on toward noon here, and I'm being a little slow, getting into the day. The big challenge facing me right now is going to get some milk for my iced coffee. I have managed to get dressed - one step at a time!

I know what you are talking about and it is a miracle. Hubby and I have been trying to figure out why there was no one in the apartments. Was it because of work? Were they vacant? We get reports on it, but probably not as detailed as yours since you live closer. Do you know?
Miracle is right....absolute miracle :)

Hi Karen, It is/was a retirement community of sorts and many of the residents have stories about just missing the incident due to changes of plans, quirks in time. I'll try to find the articles for you.
One pilot landed on a residents porch and apologized for crashing into the building. People helped people. This is a beautiful community. It was a gorgeous holiday weekend.
Hi huri, This is a great story. I saw a neat vid on one Virginia beach TV station, an interview with one of the residents who helped the pilot. Chicken skin material.
Thanks for stopping in my blog tonight. :)

I'm fixing ham, too.
