Well now that the New Year is arriving, I have written this review of the Northern Hemisphere cyclone seasons. Atlantic:The Atlantic Basin in 2007 saw 15 named storms, 6 hurricanes, and 2 major hurricanes. An average year, defined by NOAA, sees 9-12 named storms, 5-7 hurricanes, and 1-3 major hurricanes (or basically 11, 6, and 2).
