Treated to a light show this morning compliments of mother nature along with some monsoonal moisture. Pretty rare for the Sacramento Valley in July. No complaints...made for a cooler start to the day!

Cumulus 1.9.0 see how it goes. So far so good. If things don't work out, I will go back to the old standby: Virtual Weather Station.

Feels like Fall!!!

With a trace amount of rain and breezy conditons today, it felt like Fall was trying to let us know it's here. 3-4 inches of snow also fell in the Sierra Nevada Mtns. just to the east. Maybe indications of an early and active weather pattern this Winter.

A little break in the storm

As of 1800 hours on 10/13/09: storm total here in Elk Grove is 2.52 in of precip. On the back edge of the system with unstable air behind it. Maybe some thunderstorms in the near future.

Looking forward to a good soaking here in Elk Grove. The winds predicted with this incoming system should give the my station's anemometer a good workout. Let it rain...let it rain...let it rain!
