Cloudy and windy at the lake today. Irene was just a tropical storm when she passed this way. We didn't have any damage--just a few dead branches to pick up and a bit of the driveway to rake back into place. Number one daughter is without power, so she and baby are visiting until their power is back on. The temperature at 1:15 p.m. is 19.5C (67F) with strong northwesterly winds.

Not good for any type of aviation at the moment--some fog still around, but sun forecast for later in the day. A good thing as all three granddaughters here for the day. The temperature at 10:15 a.m. is 21C (70F), but forecast to go into the high twenties (mid-eighties) this afternoon. Currently we have a nice southwesterly breeze.
