The snow continued through the night, and changed to rain in the afternoon. I was up in the middle of the night, and wanted to make sure that snow didn't accumulate to the point of topping over the edge of the rain gauge, so I warmed it with a hair dryer. That warming resulted in rain measurements at 02:26, 02:31, and 03:02. That didn't melt all the ice, but it took care of enough that I felt safe giving up on it and going to sleep.
The counts at 09:24, 12:05, 13:00, 13:55 (3 mm), 14:15, 14:41, 15:01, 17:52 and 20:27 are all natural. I'd guess that one or two of those counts are from melting ice, but most are rain. It has been quite a rainy day.
