Garden~

When to plant what & how in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama.

June gardening in Florida is harvesting, keeping the weeds down & prepping it for summer. For some that maybe setting okra, watermelon, black eyed peas, some household gourds in the ground for a summer garden..others it's time to throw down a cover crop of black eyed peas, marigolds or sweet potatoes.. wish them luck & go on vacation.

North FL Lima Beans, southern peas (cow, black eyed), okra, eggplant, sweet potatoes.

Central FL okra, southern peas & sweet potatoes.

South FL Sweet potatoes.

Checked the model verification on Debbie. AVNO hands down winning.. AEMN (GFS) gets best of the rest.

Wab~ city hall there is showing less than an inch the last few days. Might want to check some other stations in that area. Go full screen (upper left) & click weather stations..

Rob~ That's pretty hot..

Hades~ Ha you know me too well.."Debby" has made a great excuse for a few Hurricane Parties & yes I did just return from a several mile pony ride between rain bands..Was careful. Everything is slick. Skye the actual pony snorted at the wind but a total gentleman, sunset was awesome. Highest gust today so far was 34mph.

Finn~ Wet doggie has got to be soaked.
That is alot of rain...

Shep~ Yep, hard to discount a model pulling away from the pack like that...go AVNO...

Was taking out the recycling in the driving mist & noted the west wind. Debby is north of me!

Buster (mini pony that is a freak about tropical weather) is a bit frantic this morning about it all. He could probably use a Valerian snack.

Declared a HAIRCON2 this morning. Hair was nearly dreads after the pony ride. Took forever to brush out. Wolk up to almost as bad. Beware to all the other fluffheaded people out there...Good day for braids.

Hades~ Not good about the heavy to Intense rain with Doksuri..wish we had a good TRMM pass.

Jus~ Loved that pic too. You can click on it to go to it. Nice to see the hay high & dry. The Mom there looks like she's headed for some refreshment while her baby is tasting life. What a cute pair of paints too.

I hope all members of the household and the hair are feeling more relaxed today.

For the other locals: A Delta IV Heavy launch from Cape Canaveral is targeted for 6:13am EDT tomorrow morning.

A Delta IV Heavy uses three liquid hydrogen-oxygen engines that create long orange flames and water vapor exhaust that shows up as a heavy condensation trail. The announced target time of the launch is about 15 minutes before sunrise. This could result in a condensation trail that rises from low light into bright and reddish sunrise colors - a nice photo op.

97L is new~ The mid-Atlantic blob. It's got a well placed Upper level low to the NNW. Ridge is trying to set up over that would send a racing sheared blob straight west. That didn't really play out as expected last week. It's stronger ridging, but we'll see, could slow up & go a little more North.

Gulf blob..some diffluence aloft been stoking it. Now it's got an ULL to it's NW & looks fairly stationary. Starting to want to give it an outside chance..

Hades~ Looks like some heavy rain with 21P.

Wab~ See you have fusia warnings today..stay cool!

LowerCal~ Delta4 delayed, caught me off guard. I'll get a plume pic up later. Longest rumble. Rattle house.

Jus~ Dragonfly ended up with a dread. Got it out...

Debby remnants has actually organized a bit today. All three scattermeters passed on her today. I posted Windsat.. the 1st, this morning...not at all closed, elongated, being pushed by the front.. Oscat is the latest, closing up, convection firing, becoming more separate from the frontal feature.
