Prayers for you two, as well as your daughter!
Debating that myself.
Maybe watch something on TV and wind down a bit first.
Dead calm out now and 66 degrees.
Rest well.
nice post.
I'm gonna take a break from staring at this monitor for a while.
Have a good morning!
Thanks Ylee, glad I checked back one last time before going back to bed!
It's funny, by myself I can take on the world, when it's one of my kids that protective instinct kicks in and says I'm not there to protect her. :)
But He Is.
Night guys.
Really beautiful day out long as you don't mind wind.
Have all the doors and windows open and am outside enjoying the cool air and sunshine.
Frogs threw a major party last night. Turtles in the back yard this morning.
Fire threat over for me for the time being. Need a new blog topic. Was thinking Zombie Apocolypse, but maybe that's not such a good idea.
Mentioned how dry it was and we got hit by whatever the heck you call that thing that came through last night. Must be careful.
Really nice though.
3 hours of sleep last night (this morning actually) has left me exhausted. Will turn in early tonight and eyes too tired to stare at the screen anymore.
Have a great night guys!
See you in the am some time.
Spent the day with Grandkids and stuff.
Had a Good One, and found some treasure....
(Now I need to find out where Lady Pott got that 100 Rupee note. I think I can explain the peso's and bolivars. But Rupee's ??)
:):))
Holy Cow Batman, its cold this morning.
47*F in Macon this morning.
Low tonight is supposed to be 36*F.
First we had no winter. Then we had spring in Feb.
Now we have winter in April.
What the heck???
Where did I put my Snow Jacket?
USB port, which is also the charging port, of my phone broke loose from the circuit board so I've spent the morning taking it apart, doing some very tedious soldering, and putting it back together.
Somehow, I still have most of the hair left in my head and I managed to complete the task without throwing anything.
Seems to work and is charging okay.
Next project: Overhaul the starter on the garden tractor, sharpen blades, change oil, etc. so the lawn can be mowed. I think the grass, which has been mostly dormant of late, grew 4 inches over the weekend.
Pottery,
I'm not going to get in the middle of that question.
Lets just say it was accidentally received in change from a taxi driver in London and leave it alone.
I am also not going to get in the middle of that question but since Rupees are from India and Pakistan it is very possible that when the Lady Pott was with her lady friends from the Art Gallery during her pottery show that they all went out to lunch at a local Indian or Pakistanian Resturant and she was given the note with her change from lunch. :)
I would tread very carefully there Pottery if I were you.
heh heh heh
Rose Garden = completed.
Juniper Garden = completed.
Butterfly Garden = tomorrow is possible.
Right now it is nap time. :)
I'll bet you a donut against an apple fritter that he uses one of our ideas.
And then throws one of us under the bus when it backfires on him. :)
It's a good thing we didn't get in the middle of that one!
yuk yuk yuk
15 to 25 mph out of the NW with gusts up to 40.
Now NWS says it will only drop to 39* tonight.
Yeah, like that is so much warmer than 36. :)
Going out for dinner, back later.
I'm going to say 54 for a low. NWS says 48.
Enjoy your meal.
I have taken ALL your suggested advices, and have decided to leave well enough alone.
I think that is the Wise Choice in these matters.
Especially when you see what 100 rupees is actually worth......
Spent the day in the City, doing whatnot and stuff.
What a Dreary way to spend a day.
Good to be home, showered, knowing I don't have to cook, and sipping a cold beverage.
So all is well.
P.S., the weather is wonderful, with little white puffy things wafting about overhead. Good to have an entire day of hot sun for a change.
HEY GRANDPA - WHAT'S FOR DINNER?
Nachos with white cheese dip, a cup of hot spicy chicken and rice soup, steak shrimp and chicken fajitas, and fried ice cream covered with dark chocholate for dessert!
YUM YUM YUM
Dinner time...see you later!
Hey Rob, Sugar Bear is beginning to wonder about those Butterfly Seeds you sold me in Feb. She says the only thing that has come up in the garden so far has been Luna Moths.
They are impressive, but they are NOT Butterflies. :)
You didn't get the seed packs mixed up did you?
Taking out the garbage then back under the covers.
It's too cold in Macon to grow butterflies!
See his blog for info.
Wishing you well in your travels Shen, wherever you are lead.
Send messages in a bottle if you have too. :)
Take care, enjoy yourself, take lots of photos!
Yeah, temp is only up to 65*F now.
Low tonight 46.
Took the morning off to take the Ford to the shop.
Have the grandkids this afternoon and then busy tonight too.
Daughter and team are doing fine,
everyone is hooked up on Facebook so we are getting daily updates!
With your temps, might be a good day to build a robot.
Enjoy!
A hot one here today, with a couple of showers (surprising, that).
Spent the morning cutting down and moving a large patch of Heliconias that are threatening to take over the World...
The cuttings are so much heavier when they are wet with rain...Bah!
They say that this kind of thing builds muscle, character, fortitude.
I'm not convinced.
I wasn't convinced either.
(well, maybe muscles)
We truly do appreciate you saving the world from conquest Pottery. I don't speak the first bit of Heliconian!
Or, maybe it's just the weather.
At any rate...out for a while.
Take care all!
I think I overdid it today...
Heading for the sleep-zone very soon, and trust that these feelings of soreness and all these insect bites will miraculously be gone in the morning.
Y'all have a Good One, and watch out for Jumbies.
There was a really pretty slivver of moon up a while ago, and you KNOW how Jumbies get when THAT is so !
It's a Good Idea to hide your grog, too.......
SugarBear and I just got home and looked at the Crescent Moon,
and Venus to the upper right of it. Awesome.
No problems with the Jumbies,
Igor has taken out quite a few of them in the last few years.
He says they taste just like chicken. :)
He is not from around here you know.
He said he can smell them from 100 yards away.
Yeah, I know, he is not very particular.
Rest well you two, the world always looks brighter in the morning.
heh heh heh
49*F in Macon this morning with a 20 mph wind coming in from the WSW, pollen count of 8.3 out of 12 today.
We have the grandkids today from noon until dinner time tonight so I better try and get the mulch into the butterfly garden before they get here.
High temp today is suppose to hit 86*F.
90*F on Sunday. Crazy weather, eh?
Daughter and Church team comes home from Haiti Sat night at 645 PM.
SugarBear is on Facebook with her everyday so she is much calmer now. :)
Things are going well down there.
Snake checks around, makes sure everything is still secure, and goes off with Igor to check the perimeter.
And to think I slept through it all.
What are these big muddy footprints all over my deck?
Good morning!
Not a Good Idea to ask about those footprints....
Without any doubt, you will rest easier if you just mop them up and pretend they never existed.
Just as a matter of interest, do you have plenty ammo?
:):))
A Fantastic morning here, with brisk breezes and sparkling sky.
Really nice one.
Had to paint the door frames around the newly painted doors, and the panel of 'gingerbread' over the frame.
Now I expect I will get to paint the walls, inside and out.........
I am beginning to think that there is ulterior motive happening around here, and that I will be gainfully occupied for the next 6 years. If I don't watch out!
I THOUGHT I had plenty, but I'm beginning to wonder.
Sounds like you aren't going to be sitting around bored any time soon. At least you have nice weather for it.
Keep up the good work.
As soon as I open a can of it something odd happens.
It becomes alive or something and spots of it start appearing all over the place where its not supposed to be. :)
I seem to spend more time cleaning up than I do painting.
No painting, no plumbing, and no electrical work.
Anything that requires tools of any kind, OK.
Kids are with their Daddy now and SugarBear and I taking a break.
I intend to be dreaming of Sugar Plums by 8 PM.
Hope its not a Sinus Infection, don't want one of those again.:(
Wind is still blowing at 25 mph, pollen is being forced into everything, the whole neighborhood smells like french fries.
French Fry Pollen?
Owweee...that hurt!
:o)
Gonna turn the screen off now.
Have a great night.
63*F in Macon this morning, high today 90*F.
90*F ??? I guess winter is finally over.
Still under a wind advisory until 8 PM tonight.
Wind gusts up to 30 mph.
Think I will take another day off from the yard.:)
Coffee is ready, see you later, hope you are feeling better!
Ate a mountain of stuff last night, and slept like a Ded Rock until 7:00.
Had a nice gentle rainshower in the Wee Hours, so everything is a'sparkle this morning. And the sky is quite dark to the east.
Unfortunately, I have a Long List of stuff and whatnot to do today.
I will review the list to see what items can be struck off without Dire Consequences. Or without anyone noticing, anyhow.
Pottery, I am doing much the same. Haven't accomplished much this week so playing catch-up.
90F, heat index 95F, humidity 53%....
It's rather warm today.
But I got a few things done so far.
Does not put enough of a dent in "the list" though.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
Or is it?
I'm never sure about these things....
Texas Chili spicy enough to make smoke come out of your ears, Yellow Rice made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, salad, Garlic Toast, and Peanut Butter Pecan Brownies with Maple Walnut Ice Cream for dessert!
Yumm....Yumm.
Haven't gotten beyond that yet.
Maybe a potato and salad.
Guess I must be in the sweet spot today.
Only 84. Long as you stay in the shade it's pretty comfy.
87.9*F at 1615 hrs, has been going up .5* every 15 minutes so it might hit 90 before the Sun goes down this evening. That's warm.
Took a break from the Mulch for the last two days, left knee was getting a "little sensitive" shall we say. :)
Better now that I let it rest. Will finish the butterfly garden on Monday. Did manage to dig up two shrubs in the front that needed to be replaced. :)
Better go check on the Chili, has to bubble but not burn you know.
Of course, then it might burn...just a little!
I have defrosted some Carite (Spanish Makerel) so it must be my turn to cook.....
Have not figured out what to do with it though.
Maybe Inspiration will pour down upon my apron in a while..
In the meantime, a beer is in order.
A little salt, a little pepper, and some fire usually will do the trick.
RTL,
The bubbles, as you call them, (cute expression btw) comes from the beans. The Burn comes from the chilis. I usually prefer a little more burn and less bubble.
