Surprise showers

About an hour after I made the last entry, it began raining like mad! This was about 6PM. I had checked the radar about an hour before and nothing showed upstream at all! So far, at 10PM, a full half inch of rain has fallen and it is still raining but not as intensively as before.

The Hilo radar was down for maintenance for several days and I now suspect that it is working worse than it was before they 'maintained' it!
