No rain over the next several days, Pacific could have its first storm soon
Posted by: JohnnyParker, 11:04 AM GMT del 14 Maggio 2012 +2
Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 58 and it feels like 58. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for North MS until 10am this morning. Highs will continue to range between 80 and 91 with lows between 57 and 67. No rain this week, but there is a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms on Monday and a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms on Tuesday of next week. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 62 and it feels like 62. Todays high is 79 with a low of 58. Tuesdays high is 80.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, the non-tropical low that is near the Azores Islands does not have much thunderstorm activity with it. The National Hurricane Center has given this system a low chance, 20%, of becoming a subtropical or tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. In the Eastern Pacific, thunderstorm activity has increased with a well-defined low pressure area that is located 580 miles South of Manzanillo, Mexico. A tropical depression is likely to form out of this if current development trends continue. The National Hurricane Center has given this system a high chance, 80%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. Elsewhere, all is quiet.

Hope yall are having a great Monday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.

Your welcome, LT. Down here in Smithville, MS, I got 2.81 inches of rainfall in total from this past weekend. That will be a good rain for yall up there since parts of the Northeast are in a drought.
