Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the northern and central Sea are pretty much free of any cloudiness.
From about La Paz south to the cape they continue to see drifting patches of clouds pass over. The heaviest concentration is at the cape and south of the cape.
All along the Mexican Riviera south to around Zihuatanejo there has been a lot of cloudiness. It looks to be a mix of both whispys and fluffys but no rain.
Again this morning all this cloudiness is coming from an area of building convection about 115 along the ITCZ. This morning there a couple of embedded lows in the zone further enhancing the convection there. And again this morning there is a solid line of thunderbumpers from Panama west to about 125.
I’d have to say that it looks like this pattern will continue well into the week, perhaps dipping a bit more to the south.
Looking further south to the Tehuantepec where I can’t see any clouds in the Gulf or the isthmus. The 24 hour loop is not showing any thunderbumper activity and the forecast is for light winds for the next 3 days at least.
That’s about it for our hood so looking north now to the west coast of America where the entire west coast should be seeing sunshine today.
Tomorrow a frontal system will be moving into the Great Northwest bringing rain for a couple of days. Two days without rain there they call it a drought
From the Oregon border south, California should see sunshine through Friday. Saturday and Sunday that low hovering in the Gulf of Alaska now will have moved down the coast and will be bringing rain, not a lot, and snow, again not a low to about 5000 feet in northern California.
For southern California high pressure will briefly blanket the southland then Friday a trough of low pressure will move in from the Pacific and bring gusterly winds to the mountains and deserts and Grey May back to the coastal areas.
Looking now over to the southwest where a strong low slowly moving east out of the Great Basin will bring breezy to windy conditions with cooler temperatures to the southwest today. A rapid warming trend will occur during the second half of the week as high pressure returns.
Which brings up back to the Sea of Cortez where the northern and central Sea will see 17-19 knot northerlies today. Puerto Escondido south in the moderate ranges, say 15 knots or less.
Tomorrow the entire Sea should be in those moderate ranges.
