No avoiding the forecasted blizzard, barometric pressure beginning to fall, overcast, NE starting to increase now at 25-35KPH,temp a -7C. Lots of snow 20-30CM(10inch range), headed our way, now in Upper Canada. Will be gone by in the morning with clear and nicer temps to clean up.
Fast trip yesterday, no luck with the skates, they didn't find the the mate to my deformed pair. No receipt no exchange, I knew the policy but hoped for a better outcome. The store did get an extra sale out of my predicament, worked out for somebody.Lots travelling in the morning, not so crowded on the return trip. Roads in great condition, even with the snow falling by the time we left St. Stephen.
Kids, as expected, have an extended long - long time of off school, classes cancelled due to the impending blizzard. Hope Rob turnsout before the next snow gets here as must have had four or more inches last night.

I am sad to say that I figured you would not get a break from Cdn. Tire. They would NEVER have got another sale from me - and about a zillion other people I know. I would have headed to Source for Sports, or Cleve's, who are usually expensive but are having their huge big sale. Again, I don't know how Cdn. Tire stays in business because everyone is always so pissed at them. Anyway, at least you got something to skate on now and you can be pissed at them later.
We are in blizzard conditions. Knowing my neighbourhood, as soon as I got home I started making lemon scones and sure enough - by 1:30 I had my first snowshoing visitor and the last one left at 5:00. I have made four pots of Irish tea, there are 10 scones left (out of six dozen) and an entire jar of homemade strawberry jam. There were many issues discussed here today - weddings, the egypt issue, our dumb government, computer tips, etc. A fun afternoon.
Tonight is shovelling, shovelling, and more shovelling - if we can see what to shovel. Could be tense. Anyway, have to get ham out and get the supper done so can get to next job.
Hope you are having fun and are safe. Have a good one.
