Oily calm this morning, partial overcast, temp 11C to rise upper teens, still the forecast for next couple of days.

Quite a bit of wind yesterday, both coming and going, spray on the windows, but boat never boat much. Full trip in the morning, we come back on the second, quite a bit of traffic, and a number of 'strangers from away'.

The wind may have kept the seiner tied up night before last, but some evidence that they were successful last night. Quite a lot of fish on the back of Whitehead, and apparently a little larger.

Whale Watching done for this season, with the Right Whales showing up later than usual. The other species that have been here all summer appears to moved off.

Morning CHUNKS, not a bad looking morning in these parts, still no hint of a frost as yet, but can't be too far off.
Noticed on the drive to St. John the trees at same level of colour there as here, but the hachmatak are changing big time. I can't tell if the needles are gone of some of them from disease or actually dropped already.
Things are in the lobster season mode around here, good weather allows fellas to work the trap yard with no problem. The weathar yesterday a harbinger of things to come, would have been slopping handling gear. However the nice temps would take the edge off, damaned uncomfortable attempting to stand up and freezing at the same time.
Have a good one.

Dear Rob:

Beautiful day here. Decided to leave mare in pasture to enjoy the sunshine and get a bit of work done around here.

As I am writing this note - you will appreciate that I did not succumb to the buzzards on last night's epic 5 miler. If anything, am glad to say that the walking pace I set was making the youngsters break a sweat by mile 2. That is what you get when you have to sit behind a desk all day. Brain warp and body out of shape. I will indicate here that - yes - indeed - round is a shape. Woot.

Hope that we can keep this weather going for quite some time. With turkey day coming up it would be nice to shoo everyone outside whilst I prepare the feast - thus no one can hear my complaints of having to do all the work for it.

Well, have a good one and talk soon.

WORD. CHUNKS.
