Hi, folks!
The sunlight is thin and watery and it’s really breezy. …and suddenly the eaves are dripping. They weren’t even 5 minutes ago! That’s the way the weather went yesterday, too. It’d be raining with the sun shining and a hailstorm would be preceded by grey overhead and the other side of the sky would be clear and blue. There were a couple of major gusts reported last night…over 50mph! We had a couple here, too. I think they must have been associated with storm cells because every time I seen or heard a big one it was followed by hail.
A crow flew past then swooped in for a landing on the porch rail. He looked around, grunted (that’s the only thing I know to call that sound) and took off again. There should have been some stale bread for him….
I laughed myself silly for a while yesterday afternoon. (Not a long trip, eh? ) Dallas posted on Facebook that he’d had a “taxi van burrito” for breakfast… ?? …. ????!!???? ….Then a bit later he posted that he’d tried to type “taco” and the auto-correct “fixed” it for him!
I finished up a few of the pieces that I’ve been doing in research and then dove back into the inventory file. I stopped a couple of times to work on things like the list of quotes and the affirmations list, adding pieces that I had found last week.
We had 2 pretty good bouts of hail during the time for Herbs Outdoors. I managed to get out for a little while earlier in the day and cleared some of the horsetail out of the plants, but there’s a lot more to do.
This is for Gem: http://www.causes.com/causes/110855 It’s the The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
Sam worked on bread in the morning, then went to the shop and worked on the library shelves. Marius spent a while there with him, then they came back up here at suppertime and Rowan joined us. She brought a copy of Tangled and we watched it. It’s a cute movie, Disney’s newest “princess” offering. That was a nice way to end the day.
Sam’s already made a bread loaf. We’ll be heading down to the shop for him to work on shelves and me to keep on setting up displays. I need to get a couple of orders out this morning, too. I’ll start printing some of those tags, get the new business cards made and then start on the flyers from the Grand Re-Opening. It’s starting to come together!
Cheka sent me a link for the movie about bees. I’m trying to set up a screening for this one, now, but don’t miss Gasland on Sunday!
The shop opens at 11 this morning.
Love & Light,
Anja
