My goodness! It has certainly been a day or two since I've visited/roamed the WU bloggs!! It seems as though most of my time on the net is spent on FB and Twitter. I miss all of the convo's that we've had here! Anyway BillyBadBird had mentioned the WU Blogs yesterday and it made me decide to hop on over and "see" what y'all have been up to. I hope that everyone is doing well and that mother nature is not being nearly as bi-polar for you as she sure is for us in the Midwest and East Coast!! Good day my friends....
P.S. in case you don't recongnize my "new" handle, my old one was "MartyChaplinsGirl" aka MCG :)
And now for a look at what mother nature has in store for us here in good ol' Indiana:
Winter Storm Watch Statement as of 4:10 AM EDT on March 23, 2013
... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Sunday morning through Monday morning...
* main impact: heavy wet snow. Roads may become impassable due to heavy snow... blowing snow will reduce visibility... travel may become very hazardous.
* Accumulations: 5 to 9 inches with locally higher amounts north of a Sullivan to Bloomington to Columbus line... 3 to 6 inches south of this line.
* Timing: snow will begin early Sunday morning... possibly mixing with rain across southern portions of central Indiana. As colder air overspreads the region late Sunday afternoon and evening... any mixing with rain will end with snow likely to increase in intensity. While snow is expected to lighten Monday morning... it is expected to continue with the potential for additional light accumulations.
* Other impacts: winds will gust to 25 to 30 mph Sunday afternoon and evening... causing blowing snow. These winds combined with the heavy wet snow may cause some localized power outages.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
