Severe Tropical Cyclone Laurence
TC Laurence continues to intensify off the Kimberley coast and has now reached a category 5 status.

At 11:00 am WST Laurence was estimated to be 75 km north of Wallal and 240 km E/NE of Port Hedland moving S/SE at 6 km/h.

This system has deepened to a central pressure of 929 hPa, with maximum wind gusts increasing to 285 km/h near the centre.

Laurence should continue towards the Pilbara coast. Landfall is estimated to be during the late evening of Monday 21st. THERE IS A RISK OF A VERY DANGEROUS STORM TIDE as this happens with potential for DANGEROUS FLOODING.

A Cyclone WARNING for coastal areas from Bidyadanga to Port Hedland
and adjacent inland areas including Marble Bar, Nullagine and Telfer.

A Cyclone WATCH continues for inland parts of the southwest Kimberley and eastern Pilbara, extending a long way inland to the WA border and including Warburton and Giles.
