I had to post a comment in your blog after I saw the picture of the Burrowing Owl chicks! Too neat!

You should post a pictorial of your photos of mom, dad and babies. SIX!

Thank you for posting those shots!

Hey! 1953! Where are you? We have these owls all over. Several families live in my neighborhood. Wonderful pictures. Our city has a 24/7 "owlcam"

Awesome - specially the "Eye To Eye", and "The 4 Amigos"; also the "Priceless Expression", which shows a genuine curiosity in something 'outside their world'! Had no idea they were that accustomed to people; and day birds at that.
Regards,
Tom

I have never seen an owl during day time, or this close. All of pictures are wonderful. Thank you for posting them.

These are phenomenal photos! The owls.. just incredible. Clearly images taken by a person who loves wildlife. The "priceless expression" is aptly titled. I also am grateful for the fact the deer are appreciated for their beauty rather than.. well, you know.. :) Thank you so much for sharing these images.. like many others, my only views of owls have been and are at night (or in nature films, which are much more impersonal).

ps: happy you survived & recovered from "Wilma".
