Scattered showers and thunderstorms were drifting west through...
Fayette... Nicholas... Webster... Pocahontas... and Randolph counties.
At 145 PM... the heaviest showers were west of Dailey over Rich
Mountain in Randolph County... in the Pickens and Holly River State
Park vicinity... along the Williams river in southern Webster
County... and near the Turnpike corridor in Fayette County.
The rain was moving slowly toward the west around 10 mph. The
showers were toward the western lowland counties.
The heaviest showers this afternoon will have localized downpours
that could cause street and poor drainage flooding. With poor Road
visibility... motorists need to slow down when encountering these
local downpours. Some hail may also fall from the strongest storms.
The showers may drift toward Sutton... Burnsville and Stonewall
Jackson Lakes between 2 and 3 o'clock. Boaters need to be alert for
possible lightning.
